Education: Mr. Farley was born and raised in Yakima, Washington, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1977. He obtained his AA degree from Yakima Valley Community College after receiving a scholarship for basketball and baseball.
While attending high school and college, Mr. Farley worked for Nordstrom as a sales representative. He continued working for Nordstrom while he obtained his BA degree from the University of Washington in 1985 and his law degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1988.
Accomplishments: Mr. Farley began his legal career as a Law Clerk for a King County Superior Court Judge and then worked as a Public Defender developing the skills of a trial attorney. In 1993 he joined Allstate Insurance Company and in 1996 was awarded the Individual Service Award for trial excellence. In 2000, Mr. Farley formed the law firm of Farley & Dimmock, LLC, in Everett, Washington and practiced plaintiff’s personal injury and worker’s compensation law until 2017 when he joined The Hartford as Senior Trial Counsel. Mr. Farley has extensive jury trial experience, having tried 125+ cases to verdict over his career. He has also presided over 200+ court-mandated arbitrations as a neutral. He has developed excellent customer service skills over the course of his career and will bring a wealth and breadth of recent advocacy experience which serve his clients well in his full-time mediation practice.
